Ok Ok

OK so I have said before I am new to the blogging thing. I thought myself to be pretty computer sevy but now I am thinking I am not as good as I thought. So I am asking you my fellow blogger for some help. I want to change my template to something cute. I know that you are suppose to click on layout then click edit my button when I click on my edit button it will not let me and directs me back to the main help page. So does anyone know how I fix this problem or have any idea what I am doing wrong??? Any help would be so great and very much appreciated.
